Responsibilities
- Support the technical sales process through prospecting, solution demonstrations, customer trials, deployment scoping, solution architecture, and trial wrap-up presentations.
- Build and maintain trusted technical-advisor relationships with prospects and customers.
- Participate in Solutions Engineering team meetings, sales reviews, technical presentations, knowledge sharing, and demonstration-material development.
- Support trade shows, networking events, ThousandEyes Connect events, blogs, social media, white papers, and case studies.
- Provide hands-on customer feedback and solution enhancement suggestions to Product Management and Engineering, including participation in beta programs.
- Coordinate with Customer Success on customer training, deployment, support, and adoption.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience and preferably 5+ years of solutions engineering experience.
- Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
- Strong understanding of application and network protocols, including HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and BGP.
- Knowledge of application and network infrastructures and unified communications.
- Experience with application and network performance analysis solutions and packet analysis of network and application protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Apple, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems.
- Experience with AI and automation tools such as Ansible, Cursor, and Claude.
