Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the PeopleFluent Hosting pipeline and automation infrastructure.
  • Define the technical vision and architecture for hosting infrastructure across compute, networking, and platform services.
  • Identify infrastructure optimization opportunities and implement scalable, secure, and reliable improvements.
  • Lead advanced infrastructure projects end to end and communicate technical design trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define requirements.
  • Manage structured configuration-change processes, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Mentor others across hosting and serve as a subject matter expert in infrastructure domains such as virtualization, cloud architecture, or observability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with Enterprise Linux, SELinux policies, standard configuration and enforcement, and headless server management.
  • Strong networking fundamentals, including DHCP and subnetting.
  • Experience administering Proxmox or vSphere virtualization platforms, including cluster configuration, VLANs, virtual switches, and network segmentation.
  • Experience owning monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
  • Experience with Git and shell scripting.
  • Strong AWS experience, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Route53.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes for provisioning, orchestration, and administration.
  • Experience with Jenkins for release and deployment automation.
  • Bonus qualifications include datacenter operations, automated network-switch configuration, firewall-rule automation, database administration, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Agile/Scrum environments, SaaS companies, and startup experience.
