Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a modern automated cloud environment.
- Uphold technical standards for development and operations, including coding standards and department best practices.
- Productionize new technologies and introduce industry ideas.
- Serve as a role model for DevOps, cloud automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud operations.
- Help develop the DevOps team and practice through recruiting, mentorship, and promotion of Agile practices.
- Create professional design and best-practice documentation in ADRs, repositories, and Confluence.
- Independently and collaboratively design and build organizational solutions.
Requirements
- Require 6–10+ years of cloud engineering experience.
- Require 3+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience.
- Require 2+ years of software development experience.
- Demonstrate software development, Git, source control, CI/CD, and inline documentation skills.
- Have proficient Terraform and CDK skills.
- Have experience with Python, Bash scripting, Ansible, Helm, Make, and automation.
- Demonstrate strong AWS and cloud knowledge.
- Have experience with networking, EKS/ECS, WAF, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Have strong implementation experience with security, disaster recovery, high availability, and reliability engineering standards.
- Preferred qualifications include CDK with Python or TypeScript, AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, SCP, AWS Config, Java, Go, JavaScript, frontend or backend software experience, AWS or cloud certifications, and Harness CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
