Responsibilities
- Design, implement, operate, and improve backend services supporting payments, identity verification, loyalty, and consumer engagement features.
- Drive technical analysis and design discussions for projects spanning multiple teams, producing clear documentation before implementation.
- Improve engineering quality through testing strategies, safe progressive rollouts, and proactive technical-debt reduction.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on cross-service dependencies, event-driven patterns, and operational excellence.
- Own backend work from design through delivery and collaborate closely with other teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related backend software engineering experience.
- Deep experience with Java and Spring Boot and strong knowledge of distributed systems and external dependencies such as banking protocols.
- Proven experience with microservices and cloud environments, with AWS experience preferred.
- Passion for or hands-on experience building GenAI-driven features using LLMs, orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, or AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock.
- Strong cross-team communication, problem-solving, initiative, and technical leadership skills.
- Fluency in English and an interest in FinTech.
