Responsibilities
- Own the AI platform foundation, including orchestration, state and persistence, retries, and long-running execution.
- Design and build authorization, auditability, human approval, escalation, and correction workflows for agent actions.
- Develop reusable integrations with ERP, CRM, workflow tools, document stores, data platforms, and legacy enterprise systems.
- Own environments, infrastructure as code, secrets management, network segmentation, observability, delivery, and disaster recovery.
- Build testing and evaluation harnesses, agent governance capabilities, and shared guardrails including prompt-injection defense, output validation, and PII redaction.
- Partner with client IT, security, and architecture teams to obtain design approval and set engineering standards across the delivery team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building backend systems in production, ideally including platforms or internal tools used by other engineers.
- Expert Python experience designing APIs, data models, and long-running stateful services.
- Hands-on experience with an agent or workflow orchestration framework such as LangGraph, Temporal, LangChain, or similar.
- Strong experience with REST, SOAP, message queues, file-based interfaces, and enterprise or legacy system integrations.
- Cloud and DevOps experience with containers, infrastructure as code such as Terraform, CI/CD, secrets handling, and observability.
- Experience delivering systems under compliance constraints involving auditability, access control, data residency, and change management.
- Ability to work effectively with client IT and security teams and obtain design sign-off; fluent English.
- Preferred experience includes SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, event-driven architecture, Kafka or similar streaming systems, LLM observability and evaluation tooling, internal platforms operated as products, and security review, penetration-test remediation, or compliance audits.
