Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support, incident management, problem management, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and downtime procedures for Spacestation on IL5 and IL6 instances.
- Instrument applications, servers, and systems and build actionable monitoring dashboards for users and executives.
- Maintain Kubernetes-based CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Build issue-detection tests and platform load-testing scripts to improve reliability.
- Support database, API, Atlassian application, digital engineering, AI workload, data pipeline, and model deployment activities.
- Apply security patches, updates, and configuration baselines in coordination with the ISSM and PaaS Tech Lead.
- Coordinate infrastructure and application dependencies, track issues and changes, and escalate service-delivery risks.
- Lead small technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, present technical recommendations, and lead customer-facing incident response.
- Provide on-call and occasional evening or weekend support for platform operations and maintenance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with computer systems support, server installation and support, network administration, network installation, and monitoring or observability platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network and systems infrastructure issues and monitoring user experience down to the click level.
- Experience with Linux administration, production Kubernetes in multi-cluster or multi-tenant environments, and Kubernetes software installation, patching, and updates.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, or equivalent container and orchestration platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Helm, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for automation tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Experience in at least two additional areas including AWS, ARCUS, CloudOne, PlatformOne, DoD cybersecurity, Elastic SIEM, jMeter, Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Active Directory and Windows Servers, Platform One Big Bang, Party Bus, Iron Bank, IL5 or IL6 environments, and leading or mentoring technical teams is preferred.
- Strong customer-service, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, multitasking, independent-work, and distributed-team skills are required.
