Responsibilities
- Improve software quality, delivery efficiency, and operational processes through DevOps practices.
- Support applications, platforms, and products as part of the APS team.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
- Manage containers, Kubernetes orchestration, Helm package management, and ArgoCD deployments.
- Implement automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and best practices.
- Monitor system reliability and performance and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
- Manage database schema changes and support integration and architecture across multiple database ecosystems.
- Collaborate with development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and UCD teams.
- Act as a business subject matter expert and help ensure services run effectively.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
- Practical experience with Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Kafka, and KOWL.
- Experience working with Java development teams.
- Experience with multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration and Helm package management.
- Proficiency setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
- Experience with database schema change management such as Liquibase.
- Understanding of GitOps principles and a mindset focused on automation and proactive monitoring.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
