Responsibilities

Improve software quality, delivery efficiency, and operational processes through DevOps practices.
Support applications, platforms, and products as part of the APS team.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
Manage containers, Kubernetes orchestration, Helm package management, and ArgoCD deployments.
Implement automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and best practices.
Monitor system reliability and performance and participate in an on-call rotation.
Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
Manage database schema changes and support integration and architecture across multiple database ecosystems.
Collaborate with development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and UCD teams.
Act as a business subject matter expert and help ensure services run effectively.

At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
Practical experience with Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Kafka, and KOWL.
Experience working with Java development teams.
Experience with multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration and Helm package management.
Proficiency setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
Experience with database schema change management such as Liquibase.
Understanding of GitOps principles and a mindset focused on automation and proactive monitoring.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Willingness to travel.
Right to work in the UK.
Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
