Responsibilities
- Improve CI runners, build systems, and build machinery to increase delivery speed and quality.
- Develop software delivery workflows using ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts.
- Improve Kubernetes as a control plane and extend its API through operators and custom resources.
- Build developer tooling such as scaffolding, testing frameworks, and continuous delivery platforms.
- Support practices including continuous delivery, feature-flagged releases, and testing in production.
- Collaborate with internal engineers to identify developer pain points and improve platform usability and performance.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, including Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, operators, and custom resources.
- Strong Go experience across scripting and larger microservice applications, including familiarity with Go build and packaging.
- Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines from merged pull requests through production deployment, commonly to Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience building and running Docker images.
- Ability and interest in understanding developer pain points and creating solutions for them.
- Preferred: experience treating an internal developer platform as a product and working with internal users to improve its experience.
- Preferred: experience with Make, kustomize, Helm, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, and software observability practices such as tracing, logging, and metrics export.
