Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of Access Point firmware and WLAN features across embedded Linux platforms.
- Implement Wi‑Fi security and authentication frameworks, including WPA/WPA3, 802.1X, and SAE-based flows.
- Develop and integrate authentication and policy flows using DPSK and RADIUS-based attributes.
- Maintain consistency across WLAN configurations and per-client policy overrides.
- Lead debugging and root-cause analysis of roaming, policy-enforcement, and cross-platform issues.
- Collaborate with Controller, Cloud, QA, and PM teams to deliver end-to-end wireless solutions.
- Drive system-level initiatives and architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and contribute to design reviews and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of embedded software development experience, preferably in networking or wireless systems.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and understanding of system-level design.
- Strong experience with Linux system development, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and protocol stacks.
- Experience with WLAN technologies, 802.11 standards, and WPA/WPA3 and 802.1X security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems and multithreaded programming.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues.
- Preferred: Wi‑Fi Access Point software or wireless networking product experience, hostapd architecture and Wi‑Fi stack knowledge, AI Agent and AI development-cycle experience, and experience with cloud-managed or controller-based network architectures.
