Base Salary

$164k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and extend enterprise automation frameworks across frontend, API, backend, database, and multi-tier testing layers.
  • Create and execute functional, integration, regression, acceptance, performance, and load test plans, including cross-browser UI and API integration testing.
  • Analyze and communicate test results, track defects, estimate testing efforts, and identify quality tasks during team sprint cycles.
  • Architect reusable component and Cucumber step-definition libraries and establish repeatable, scalable test execution patterns.
  • Validate microservices communication, payloads, fault tolerance, database transactions, data pipelines, message queues, and SQL and NoSQL systems.
  • Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines with stage-gated quality controls, parallel execution, and environment-specific deployment strategies.
  • Migrate manual and script-based testing to Cucumber or Karate BDD and establish Gherkin libraries, review workflows, and scenario design standards.
  • Plan and manage test environments and test data and recommend improvements to acceptance testing procedures and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; a three- or four-year bachelor’s degree is accepted.
  • At least five years of experience as a software developer in test, quality assurance lead, or a related role.
  • Experience architecting automation frameworks with Selenium, RestAssured, PostgreSQL, Cucumber, and TestNG.
  • Experience implementing functional, integration, and regression testing across UI, API, backend, database, data pipeline, and message queue layers.
  • Experience architecting CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes and containerizing test execution environments.
  • Experience migrating testing to Cucumber or Karate BDD frameworks and creating shared Gherkin feature libraries.
  • Experience with test strategy, requirements analysis for testability, risk and mitigation planning, configuration management planning, and detailed test planning.
