Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end test strategies and design and create automated test frameworks.
- Lead diverse technology projects and teams of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Deliver cloud-based solutions and collaborate with digital product managers and architects.
- Use multiple programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering communities and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding in multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source contribution, front-end framework experience, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, observability, mentoring, cross-functional leadership, coding standards, and software testing team leadership.

- The listed annual base salary ranges by location are $179,400-$204,700 in Chicago, Plano, Richmond, and Riverwoods, and $197,300-$225,100 in McLean.
