Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, or cloud-native systems with demanding reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture, technology direction, platform roadmaps, and shared-services strategy.
- Collaborate with digital product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based customer experiences and meet regulatory needs.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while supporting professional development.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, reliability practices, and enterprise technical standards.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration, and AWS tools to build servicing, payment, ledger, and customer-support solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience mentoring senior engineers, applying observability and reliability practices, leading architecture reviews, enforcing coding standards, influencing technology strategy, and leading large-scale technical initiatives.
- Preferred: experience using modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.

- Full-time annual salary range of $209,000-$238,500 for the Plano, Texas location; performance-based incentive compensation may also be available.
