Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of product features, from customer problem discovery and design documentation through implementation, deployment, and impact measurement.
- Shape product goals, technical roadmaps, architecture, technical investment, and long-term system evolution.
- Lead technical alignment across squads, engineering guilds, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Raise engineering quality through mentorship, code reviews, design reviews, pairing, and technical coaching.
- Manage technical debt and uphold standards for reliability, testing, security, and operational excellence.
- Use AI tools throughout development, including specification, coding, code review, production context gathering, and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- Ability to translate complex business goals into technical roadmaps and de-risk ambiguous projects through spikes and prototyping.
- Experience architecting scalable, evolvable systems and data models with attention to performance, failure isolation, and maintainability.
- Ability to define engineering standards, CI/CD improvements, testing strategies, and coding standards across the stack.
- Frontend architecture experience, including state management, performance budgets, and comprehensive testing such as end-to-end testing with Cypress.
- Backend experience with API versioning, caching strategies, and complex data migration plans.
- Operational experience with observability, SRE practices, SLOs, incident response, and blameless post-mortems.
- Experience overseeing operational security, secrets hygiene, and dependency risk management.
- Strong mentorship, design review, cross-functional communication, and multi-team coordination skills.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI-augmented and agentic development workflows, including AI-powered code reviews.
