Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own end-to-end agentic systems covering retrieval, orchestration, inference, evaluation, and feedback loops.
- Shape architecture across model interfaces, data pipelines, vector databases, and streaming infrastructure.
- Prototype, test, and launch AI-driven features with product and design partners.
- Improve accuracy, latency, and robustness through fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and data iteration.
- Join sales and customer calls to understand pain points and translate feedback into product improvements.
- Build debugging, observability, and agent-testing infrastructure and tools.
- Hire, mentor, and collaborate with engineers while helping shape the engineering team.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience building AI or ML-powered systems, preferably in high-growth or early-stage environments.
- Experience shipping real products using LLMs, retrieval, orchestration, or streaming inference.
- Ability to work end-to-end across modeling, infrastructure, and product-facing code.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to build systems, processes, tools, and teams from scratch.
- Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to non-technical teammates, customers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and take ownership in fast-paced, high-trust environments.
- Experience with vertical software businesses or agentic AI systems is a bonus.
