Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, operation, and migration of backend services and APIs delivering financial data to global clients.
- Build front-end applications including client portals and internal entitlement and administration tooling.
- Make, document, and defend system design decisions and architectural tradeoffs.
- Use agentic harnesses to deliver features end to end with rigorous testing and human review.
- Translate product needs and enterprise policies into simple, secure, scalable solutions.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, and observability.
- Contribute to code and design reviews, mentoring, and shared technical learning.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building and operating production cloud software as a backend or full-stack engineer.
- Strong design fundamentals and experience decomposing ambiguous problems into modular, testable, and evolvable components.
- Track record of shipping and owning large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Go and SQL.
- Experience building batch and real-time API services using an API-first approach.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, and user-entitlement management.
- Hands-on experience with GCP for databases, serverless systems, containers, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI and agentic harnesses to deliver production features.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with TypeScript and React or Angular for front-end development.
- Preferred Apigee API management experience and data engineering experience with batch or streaming pipelines and BigQuery.
- Preferred experience building and integrating agentic RAG solutions, data cataloguing, and working with financial market data, index data models, and feeds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working in global teams.
