Responsibilities
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performance microservices for authentication, subscriptions, payments, content delivery, and other JioStar applications.
- Write maintainable code, conduct unit testing, participate in code reviews, and ensure sub-second server response times.
- Design and implement appropriate data stores, index stores, and messaging systems.
- Own the operation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and contribute to performance and reliability improvements.
- Evaluate technologies, influence architecture and design discussions, and collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams.
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into scalable technical solutions and mentor junior engineers and interns.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python.
- Experience building distributed domain-driven microservices and understanding database and storage fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, messaging systems such as Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4–6 years of backend development experience.
- Experience with large-scale production systems and a strong focus on performance and reliability is preferred.
