Lead Software Engineer - Java, AWS, Databricks

- Design, develop, debug, test, and support secure, stable, scalable software solutions.
- Write and review production code, preferably in Java, and solve complex technical problems.
- Lead adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and automation tools.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring remediation and improve application operational stability.
- Evaluate vendor, startup, and internal architectural designs, technical credentials, and integration applicability.
- Guide peers on secure, responsible, and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably Java.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and practical cloud-native experience.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency and security, plus in-depth knowledge of financial services IT systems.
- Preferred experience includes big-data environments, cloud-native microservices, event-driven architecture, application containerization, public cloud platforms, and real-time streaming applications.
- Preferred technologies and platforms include AWS, GCP, Azure, Apache Spark Streaming, Apache Kafka, and Amazon Kinesis.
