Base Salary
$550k - $550k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and execute Google’s long-term technical strategy for App and Ecosystem Trust.
- Lead the transition to Autonomous Defense using state-of-the-art AI, foundation models, and adaptive security architectures.
- Architect Agentic Safety systems, including security guardrails, policy enforcement engines, sandboxed runtimes, and protocol security.
- Translate AI/ML and cybersecurity research into high-throughput, production-grade defenses.
- Drive architectural alignment and technical consensus across Google product and engineering organizations.
- Sponsor, coach, and elevate Staff, Senior Staff, and Principal Engineers globally.
- Represent Google with industry consortia, academic institutions, standards bodies, and regulatory and technical forums.
Requirements
- At least 20 years of experience bringing systems thinking, business acumen, and technical acumen to platform development.
- Experience in Trust & Safety, mobile security, privacy, or a related domain.
- Experience leading innovation and leveraging ML/AI in technical environments.
- Experience managing teams and working in consumer marketplaces.
- Deep expertise in agentic AI runtime security, sandboxing, protocol verification, and adversarial machine learning defenses.
- Proven success leading complex, multi-year, cross-product technical transformations and architectural alignment across global engineering hubs.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Preferred: executive communication and influence skills, industry authority, and experience with security standards, developer ecosystems, technical advisory boards, publications, or patents.
