Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Own technical pre-sales activities including discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, prioritization, pipeline generation, and multi-threaded account strategies.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide field feedback to the product team, improve solutions and processes, and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Maintain expertise in MongoDB products, cloud architectures, generative AI architectures, and relevant industry trends.
Requirements
- Ideally 8–11 years of related experience in customer-facing roles, including 5–7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures and advising customers on technology improvements.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, technical discovery, and business-value articulation skills.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate MongoDB and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Preferred qualifications include database sales or application deployment experience with major cloud providers, database programming and data modeling experience, data engineering or AI/ML project experience, legacy modernization experience, MongoDB Certification, and cloud provider certification.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message is advantageous.
