Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, scalable, maintainable RESTful services with Java, Spring Boot, and Go.
- Own features end-to-end from client requirements and technical design through development, testing, and production deployment.
- Integrate external APIs and data pipelines while collaborating with Angular and TypeScript frontend engineers.
- Build rule engines, data validation pipelines, and audit trails for regulatory workflows.
- Participate in technical discovery sessions, workshops, and client demos, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and contribute to AI capabilities for document understanding and data extraction.
- Modernize legacy systems and improve internal tooling, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and strengthen engineering standards.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of backend software engineering experience, ideally developing enterprise-grade SaaS products.
- Strong proficiency with Java 17 or later and Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and transactional integrity.
- Practical experience with Docker and CI/CD tools and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for translating complex business requirements into maintainable software.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders.
- Production experience with Go, or interest in developing with Go alongside Java, is preferred.
- Familiarity with TypeScript and Angular is preferred.
- Experience with Redis, MongoDB, or other caching and document database technologies is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration is preferred.
- Practical experience with AI/LLM technologies such as prompt engineering, RAG, or model integration is preferred.
