Responsibilities

  • Support the development, integration, and deployment of training systems and associated software applications.
  • Assist with networking design, system configuration, and interfacing with platform simulation applications.
  • Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software applications for training system components.
  • Install, configure, and support software applications and operating systems in simulation environments.
  • Participate in requirements review, design, coding, integration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues, diagnose root causes, and support corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain design notes, installation guides, test procedures, and software support documentation.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and integration engineers on configuration updates and capability enhancements.
  • Follow engineering procedures, configuration management guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Communicate project status, technical issues, risks, and recommended solutions to lead engineers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in software development, systems integration, or engineering support roles.
  • Foundational knowledge of software programming languages, debugging methods, and structured development practices.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, networking principles, and software installation processes.
  • Ability to work under general technical guidance and collaborate in a team-oriented technical environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and technical documentation skills.
  • Experience with simulation devices, training systems, or defense-related software environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of system integration, simulation platform interfaces, distributed computing, networking protocols, or simulation networking technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with software version control or configuration management tools is preferred.
  • Must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

  • The role may require sitting or standing for extended periods, walking through simulator and engineering areas, and occasionally lifting equipment or components up to approximately 25 pounds.
