Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Webflow’s cloud platform, including the compute layer, EKS fleet, serverless infrastructure, networking, and cloud operations across AWS and GCP.
- Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code foundations, shared components, and reusable platform patterns.
- Design and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable networking across cloud environments.
- Improve infrastructure dashboards, alerts, observability, and service-level objectives so issues are detected early and on-call pages are actionable.
- Build and maintain AI-powered infrastructure automation, including policy as code, drift detection, and LLM-assisted runbook generation.
- Help define the culture and practices of the expanding international infrastructure team.
- Collaborate with immediate teammates and cross-functional partners on strategic build-versus-buy decisions and ambiguous technical problems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience owning and operating cloud infrastructure in customer-facing, low-downtime environments.
- Background in infrastructure, site reliability, cloud engineering, or software engineering with deep cloud infrastructure and distributed systems experience.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters at scale, including upgrades, node group management, autoscaling, and cluster add-on lifecycle.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform.
- Experience working in multi-region or multi-cloud environments on AWS or GCP.
- Curiosity and proactive adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
- Preferred experience with Karpenter, Cluster Autoscaler, or other Kubernetes-native scaling tools.
- Preferred experience with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Preferred experience building AI-assisted infrastructure tooling for cost optimization, anomaly detection, or policy as code.
- Preferred experience contributing to multi-region architecture involving data residency, regional failover, or latency-based routing.
