Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Duck Creek enhancements for underwriting, rating, policy administration, and operational workflows.
- Configure and customize Duck Creek Manuscripts, including business rules, rating logic, policy processing, and forms functionality.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Duck Creek, workflow management platforms, enterprise systems, external applications, and downstream data pipelines.
- Design and use Duck Creek APIs and services, including RESTful API integrations and enterprise integration patterns.
- Troubleshoot production and integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident resolution, performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
- Contribute to product implementations, platform upgrades, modernization initiatives, software lifecycle activities, and production releases.
- Provide technical leadership in architecture, solution design, system interaction models, and integration decisions while mentoring team members.
- Identify and apply AI capabilities and automation to improve underwriting workflows, operational efficiency, decision-making, and system integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of software or application development experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Duck Creek development and configuration experience.
- Strong experience with application integration, APIs, enterprise systems, event-driven or messaging-based integration frameworks, and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience with Duck Creek platform upgrades, including examples such as version 8.0.4 and Policy Active Delivery (PAD), or modernization initiatives.
- Experience with large or complex policy processing environments in the Property & Casualty insurance domain.
- Exposure to AI-driven solutions, automation platforms, or analytics capabilities within enterprise applications.
- Ability to lead technical design discussions, mentor team members, balance delivery speed with production stability and quality, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
