Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features and improve the quality of technical products and applications within commercial digital.
- Create and execute the long-term vision for technical products and applications.
- Act as a technical expert and software developer on an agile squad.
- Drive solution architecture across multiple services and applications.
- Develop software that meets code quality standards and metrics.
- Practice test-driven development and write maintainable, supportable, and testable code.
- Lead communities of practice by mentoring developers, creating and enforcing standards, reviewing code, and sharing knowledge.
- Automate processes and partner with operations and engineering teams to improve services.
- Assist with problem resolution for end users and customers.
- Create and update operational procedures and maintain controls and documentation for audit compliance.
- Identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks in accordance with the bank's risk appetite.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable field.
- 8+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of object-oriented and functional software design and software development best practices.
- Knowledge of Java or comparable programming languages.
- Knowledge of SQL or comparable data products.
- Familiarity with RESTful networking.
- Prior knowledge of Git and GitHub.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
