Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and vision for software engineering delivery.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain complex scalable software solutions.
- Define technical strategy and architecture for generative AI capabilities within governance and risk guidelines.
- Drive the roadmap for AI-assisted tooling that helps associates find information and complete work.
- Build and maintain a knowledge graph connecting Drive, intranet, and Slack knowledge sources into an AI-queryable layer.
- Develop Slack applications, workflow automations, and API/webhook integrations.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineering leads, and stakeholders to define requirements and technical stories.
- Establish software development practices, coding standards, architectural patterns, and documentation standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide constructive feedback.
- Lead technical design discussions, troubleshoot complex issues, mitigate technical risks, and conduct code reviews.
- Participate in team ceremonies and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building LLM/GenAI applications using prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic workflows, ideally with GCP Vertex AI.
- Experience with Slack app development or workflow automation, including Slack API, Bolt SDK, or Workflow Builder.
- Experience building and maintaining knowledge graphs or structured data layers for AI/ML retrieval, RAG pipelines, or semantic search.
- Strong proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience leading delivery of complex software solutions in an agile environment.
- Experience with AI/ML or LLM-based application development and workflow-automation platforms.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, testing methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and related technologies.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
