Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs for recording, processing, and serving AWS resource configuration data.
- Build customer-facing web console and UI experiences that are intuitive, performant, and accessible.
- Develop well-tested software across the stack and participate in design and code reviews.
- Own service operational health through on-call participation, metrics, alarms, and automation that reduces operational load.
- Collaborate with senior and principal engineers on architecture and technical direction.
- Contribute to API contracts, technical design, implementation, deployment, operations, and mentorship.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
