Base Salary

$129k - $175k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technology solutions that improve engineering and operational processes and apply those improvements across partner teams.
  • Own team systems, identify and mitigate risks, reduce complexity, and improve resilience, performance, consistency, and integration.
  • Lead architecture, design, operations, process, and post-incident reviews for complex systems.
  • Design, implement, and deliver technical solutions for complex problems involving large-scale distributed systems.
  • Hire, coach, mentor, train, and develop engineers while leading a growing technical charter.
  • Influence technical and business strategy, build consensus across teams, and work backward from customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 7 years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, storage, and operating systems.
  • Programming experience in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Current, active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or above.
  • Preferred experience includes programming with Rust and working in an Agile environment using Scrum.
