Base Salary
$172k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, coach, and retain the Solutions Engineering team across the SLED Top 1200 segment.
- Set technical quality standards for demos, trial plans, site assessments, deployments, and customer documentation.
- Own technical wins, capacity allocation, critical technical escalations, and field support across the segment.
- Systematize proof-of-concept design, site assessment quality, integration and airspace strategies, and public-sector procurement processes.
- Guide CAD, dispatch, video and evidence management, streaming platforms, BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and docked operations.
- Represent customer needs to Product and Engineering and create enablement content, reference architectures, and reusable technical assets.
- Partner with Sales leadership on pipeline, forecasting, account planning, quota, deal strategy, and land-and-expand motions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience, including customer-facing solutions engineering, field engineering, or applications engineering experience.
- 1+ year leading a technical team formally or as a technical lead with hiring and mentorship responsibility; first-time managers with demonstrated people leadership may be considered.
- Strong understanding of drone technology, public-safety sUAS operations, regulatory compliance, Drone as First Responder concepts, and dock-based remote operations.
- Working knowledge of public-safety technologies including CAD, VMS, and related software platforms.
- Track record of hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining technical personnel.
- Experience operating within a Sales organization, including quota ownership and deal strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to work hands-on to resolve customer issues.
- Prior public-safety service, experience launching Drone as First Responder programs, dock-based, remote, or BVLOS operations experience, and familiarity with grant funding and cooperative purchasing are preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or equivalents is preferred.
- FAA Part 107 Certificate or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire; ability to travel approximately 30% and lift up to 60 pounds unaided.
