Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines supporting machine learning, generative AI, and real-time analytics use cases.
- Develop scalable cloud-based data solutions using data mesh, lakehouse, and streaming patterns.
- Build and support distributed data systems using Snowflake, AWS, SQL Server, and related technologies.
- Optimize query performance, distributed processing, cloud costs, and data platform reliability.
- Modernize legacy systems through containerization, serverless services, and workflow automation.
- Apply responsible AI, data privacy, security, regulatory compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
- Provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and contribute to technical direction.
- Create architecture documentation, runbooks, implementation standards, and technology adoption recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in data engineering, software engineering, or data platform development.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms, including S3, IAM, Athena, SNS, SQS, and EMR.
- Experience with SQL Server, including SSIS and SSRS.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience designing and supporting scalable distributed data systems using open-source and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong object-oriented design, software engineering, coding standards, testing, maintainable architecture, and data modeling fundamentals.
- Ability to build partnerships and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience contributing to team culture, accountability, and delivery outcomes.
- Financial industry data experience is preferred but not required.
- English proficiency is required.
