Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and conduct trade studies for AI models and frameworks.
- Present AI design architectures and implement production-oriented AI solutions using RAG, model training, and fine-tuning.
- Select, develop, and evaluate foundational models, AI agent platforms, and orchestration frameworks.
- Independently design and develop AI components with robust agent context and memory management.
- Integrate AI components into broader products, including subsystem-level vector database integrations.
- Apply software and machine learning engineering standards, including advanced techniques such as reinforcement learning.
- Document model behavior, integration points, and system architecture.
- Track project schedules and budgets from model evaluation through production deployment.
- Provide technical oversight for AI integration and communicate with customers about operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing software modules for integration into large-scale systems and networks.
- Experience with software and hardware analysis and design, performance analysis, configuration and data management, quality assurance, and specification definition.
- Ability to follow robust technical specifications and work independently and as part of a software development team.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance are required.
- Preferred: proficiency with AI coding assistants or experience developing production-grade AI/ML agents.
