Base Salary

$136k - $245k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy AI legal workflows and reusable skills for approved firm AI tools.
  • Partner with attorneys and knowledge management professionals to map workflows and translate practice needs into structured AI solutions.
  • Develop retrieval pipelines, document templates, workflow components, evaluation frameworks, and attorney-ready documentation.
  • Monitor workflow quality, accuracy, reliability, adoption, usage, and impact, and refine solutions based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops, one-on-one coaching, playbooks, and enablement materials for attorneys and other legal audiences.
  • Maintain production workflows, including prompts, retrieval sources, guardrails, human-review checkpoints, and audit mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with AI Product, AI Adoption, Knowledge & Innovation, IT, Innovation Practice Group, and Professional Development teams.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent legal background, such as practicing attorney, knowledge lawyer, or paralegal with substantive practice experience.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in legal, legal technology, knowledge management, practice innovation, or a comparable professional-services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or implementing AI, automation, or workflow solutions in a legal or professional-services context.
  • Experience delivering training, enablement, or onboarding programs to attorney or client-facing audiences.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation concepts, model-output evaluation, and AI-enabled workflow design.
  • Working understanding of legal practice and attorney workflows, including appropriate human review, quality, accuracy, confidentiality, and risk controls.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with attorneys, partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience at an AmLaw firm, in-house legal department, or legal technology company.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with workflow builders, prompt libraries, retrieval pipelines, AI evaluation methods, governance frameworks, and emerging AI regulation.
  • Light coding fluency in Python, SQL, or scripting is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft 365.
