Base Salary

$150k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and build system architecture integrating AI agents with CAD, CAE, and PLM tools while meeting defense and medical customer security requirements.
Own architecture decisions, production delivery, observability, evaluation suites, regression testing, and on-call operations.
Ship production AI workflows into live customer programs.
Build evaluation and training loops using simulation runs, test data, engineer corrections, field outcomes, and reinforcement learning grounded in real physics.
Work with partner-company engineers to identify failures and turn those learnings into platform capabilities.
Contribute to the product roadmap and execute quickly within live engineering programs.
Expand the platform across multiple operating companies and mentor a small team.

At least 4 years of experience shipping software to production, including systems used daily by real customers.
Proven experience putting AI into production, including LLM agent workflows that call real tools, handle failures, and use rigorous evaluation suites.
Strong Python skills and production experience in backend or ML systems engineering.
Experience at a high-growth or early-stage company.
Strong computer science fundamentals from a rigorous academic or industry background.
Ability to design honest evaluations and determine when to use retrieval, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, or conventional software.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with experienced domain engineers.
Willingness to travel to partner sites and work fully in person.
Experience with reinforcement learning, fine-tuning, or deployed AI systems iterated on real-world failure modes is preferred.
Background in frontier AI, applied AI, industrial software, simulation, CAD/CAE/EDA, or physical-world AI is a strong plus.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship is required.
