Base Salary
$165k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Champion high availability, scalability, resilience, testing, secure pipelines, and efficient resource use for Kubernetes application deployments.
- Administer multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters by configuring access, quotas, security, isolation, resource allocation, and SLA compliance.
- Perform Kubernetes cluster lifecycle and day-two operations, including provisioning, patching, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze complex Kubernetes reliability incidents, identify root causes, and propose preventative measures using debugging and monitoring tools.
- Participate in on-call duties, respond to critical alerts and incidents outside business hours, and coordinate timely resolutions with partner teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience administering multi-tenant SaaS Kubernetes environments, including EKS, AKS, and GKS.
- Strong GitOps and DevOps experience with Argo CD or similar Helm chart management tools.
- Proven Docker and containerization experience, strong Linux OS experience, and proficiency in Go.
- CKA or a similar certification is highly desired.
- Experience with performance profiling and distributed-systems optimization is preferred.
- Knowledge of network protocols and distributed consensus algorithms is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
