Base Salary
$230k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and scale infrastructure supporting clinical-note audits across millions of criteria daily.
- Define infrastructure patterns that improve latency, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Improve developer productivity through CI/CD and local and testing environments.
- Simplify observability and establish reliability metrics across services and AI pipelines.
- Manage infrastructure and developer tooling spend.
- Steward the organization’s SOC 2 and HIPAA security posture.
- Consolidate SSO, identity, device management, and access controls across internal tools.
- Set the platform function’s roadmap in collaboration with engineering leadership.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience with platform engineering as the primary focus.
- Experience building production infrastructure at an early-stage startup.
- Deep AWS and infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Production-level programming ability in Python and TypeScript.
- Experience driving toward a target cloud bill.
- Experience managing software compliance audits such as SOC 2.
- Ability to own the infrastructure or platform function and collaborate effectively with product engineers.
- Preferred: healthcare or regulated-industry experience involving sensitive data.
- Preferred: LLM infrastructure experience, including inference cost management, gateways, tracing, and evaluations.
- Preferred: experience rolling out an identity provider such as Okta.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers or leading a small team.
