Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and promote cloud-native architectural patterns and own platform adherence to them.
- Lead architecture decisions, design reviews, complex-problem escalation, and technical collaboration.
- Design, implement, maintain, secure, and scale the infrastructure platform supporting global SaaS services.
- Own service-level objectives and improve platform availability, resilience, scalability, observability, and monitoring.
- Drive capacity planning, cloud cost optimization, incident resolution, and operational reliability.
- Apply security and compliance frameworks including ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53.
- Own solution design from analysis and architecture through development, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Evolve infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, progressive delivery, automation, self-service tooling, and standardization.
- Produce clear technical documentation and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering, including 3+ years running Kubernetes in production.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, systems design, software development, and large-scale SaaS operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot across the full technology stack and drive platform-level incident resolution.
- Production experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes networking, CNI, and network policy.
- Experience operating CDN, WAF, and DDoS protection services.
- Deep experience operating and developing on Azure cloud services.
- Strong command of Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
- Advanced proficiency with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Datadog, or comparable observability and monitoring solutions.
- Fluency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python or Go, plus strong Bash or PowerShell scripting skills.
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks and experience aligning cloud environments to relevant standards.
- Proven problem-solving, collaboration, communication, organization, adaptability, and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science or software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes Istio or Linkerd, operating services within a FedRAMP authorization boundary, and building self-service tooling for product engineering teams.
