Responsibilities
- Review business requirements and technical documentation to identify testing needs.
- Perform manual testing of new and existing functionality to guide automation efforts.
- Define and improve QA strategies, test plans, quality gates, acceptance criteria, and testing ownership.
- Build and maintain automated test suites, frameworks, and harnesses for backend, integration, and contract testing.
- Test blockchain integrations, smart contracts, APIs, RPC endpoints, MCP servers, and blockchain-specific functionality.
- Integrate and monitor automated tests within CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
- Investigate issues across distributed systems and blockchain integrations.
- Maintain test documentation, communicate quality risks and testing progress, and help expand automation coverage across projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA/SDET roles covering manual and automated testing across the full SDLC.
- Strong experience with backend and non-UI test automation and maintaining and debugging automated tests.
- Strong programming skills for test automation, preferably with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience defining QA strategies, test plans, testing scope, and quality gates from the ground up.
- Understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including wallets, transactions, and blockchain types.
- Experience testing REST APIs and RPC-based interfaces such as JSON-RPC and gRPC.
- Experience with Docker-based test environments and debugging containerized services.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establishing quality gates.
- Experience with AWS-based infrastructure and MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Desirable experience includes testing blockchain systems, smart contracts, transaction flows, Layer 2 solutions, blockchain protocols, asynchronous messaging systems, MCP servers, and performance or load testing.
- Desirable experience with Go, Foundry, Hardhat, Solidity, Rust, Azure Service Bus, Kubernetes, and observability-driven testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, adaptability, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency.
