Responsibilities
- Enhance software for managing reservations of physical testing hardware.
- Develop backend services that automate creation of testing environments for multiple services and engineering teams.
- Build scalable virtual machine-based development environments.
- Identify infrastructure, development, and deployment bottlenecks and improve reliability and performance.
- Provide technical leadership, coding guidance, design-pattern recommendations, and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Build reporting tools for capacity utilization across virtual machines and physical hardware.
- Collaborate with global Development and SRE teams to improve product delivery speed and confidence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience using Python to build backend services, APIs, scalable platform automation, and command-line interfaces.
- Proven experience developing resilient test automation frameworks for cloud infrastructure solutions.
- In-depth expertise in microservices, cloud networking architectures, and relational databases including MySQL and Postgres.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Grafana for automation and observability.
- Experience guiding, mentoring, or leading junior engineering staff.
