Base Salary
$165k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve Nextdoor’s Android application and product features.
- Contribute to networking, analytics, experiments, modular app structure, and testing infrastructure across the Android stack.
- Own and improve the user experience for the main feed and post creation tools on the Feed UX Team.
- Ship delightful, polished, and bug-free features consistently and quickly.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of engineering experience or the ability to perform at an advanced level in the domain.
- Ability to build polished, reliable features while shipping consistently and quickly.
- Desire to mentor junior engineers and help improve engineering culture.
- Strong self-motivation and flexibility to improve different parts of the app, from UI components to analytics infrastructure.
- Experience testing Android code with frameworks such as JUnit, MockK, and Roborazzi.
- Bonus: expertise in Kotlin and familiarity with OkHttp, Retrofit, Apollo GraphQL, MVI, Coroutines, Mavericks, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, Metro, and large-app modularization and dependency injection.
