Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, immutable, distributed systems focused on data streaming and backend services using functional Scala.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to build and deliver robust cloud-based solutions using AWS infrastructure.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code while contributing to continuous engineering improvement.
- Solve complex technical problems and optimize high-scale server systems.
- Support performance tuning, monitoring, cloud migration, and CI/CD automation activities as applicable.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software application development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with GCP and AWS; cloud migration experience is a plus.
- At least 4 years of hands-on functional programming experience with technologies such as Scala, Haskell, Clojure, or Common Lisp.
- At least 2 years of experience with DynamoDB and PostgresDB.
- Familiarity with ZIO and Finagle is preferred.
- Experience with fintech or banking environments, open-source web technologies, performance tuning, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, or high-scale server optimization is preferred.
- AWS Developer or Architect Certification is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree is required, with specified specialized training or progressively responsible technology experience accepted in lieu of missing college years.
