Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, immutable, and distributed systems using functional Scala.
- Build data-streaming and backend services for cloud-based production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions using AWS infrastructure.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
- Solve complex technical problems and contribute to continuous engineering improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software application development.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with functional programming, such as Scala, Haskell, Clojure, or Common Lisp.
- At least 2 years of experience working with AWS, including services such as DynamoDB.
- Bachelor’s degree, or qualifying specialized training and progressively responsible technology work experience in lieu of the degree.
- Familiarity with the ZIO framework is preferred.
- Prior fintech or banking experience is preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience with open-source web technologies is preferred.
- At least 2 years of performance tuning and monitoring experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling is preferred.
- Experience optimizing high-scale server systems is preferred.
- AWS Developer or Architect Certification is preferred.
