Responsibilities
- Develop and lead applications for actuarial pricing and exposure management.
- Implement and maintain actuarial methodologies and modelling algorithms.
- Enhance, maintain, and support existing modelling applications.
- Gather requirements from actuaries, exposure managers, and analytical business users.
- Collaborate with IT professionals and an international development team.
- Support end-to-end application testing and business analysis.
- Provide training and support to business users.
- Document implementations clearly.
- Support innovative development of next-generation pricing and exposure management systems.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in mathematics, natural science, engineering, actuarial science, or another highly analytical field.
- Have at least three years of experience in actuarial work, modelling, or software development.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a .NET language, preferably C#.
- Have solid object-oriented programming skills and an understanding of performance and scalability considerations.
- Demonstrate strong conceptual, analytical, innovative problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with RDBMS and data repositories such as SQL Server, MySQL, Azure, and NoSQL systems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services, Databricks, Snowflake, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and AI tooling.
- Preferred qualifications include international insurance or reinsurance experience, pricing models, exposure data, modelled loss data, and Agile/Scrum practices using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
