Responsibilities
- Own and manage critical and high-severity production incidents from detection through resolution.
- Lead SWARM and Tech Bridge calls during assigned shifts and provide customer-facing incident communications.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to improve MTTR, MTTA, alert quality, and system stability.
- Monitor production systems and proactively detect operational issues.
- Develop and review operational automation using Go, Python, Shell, or Perl.
- Maintain dashboards, alerts, runbooks, SOPs, and disaster recovery processes.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product, CloudOps, and Support teams on production issues and reliability improvements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, onboarding, training, and upskilling for ProdOps engineers.
- Guide shift teams through complex incidents and support shift handovers.
- Influence architecture and reliability-critical changes with operability and reliability considerations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Production Operations, SRE, or Cloud Reliability roles.
- Experience leading major production incidents in customer-facing systems.
- Strong experience with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving reliability initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, Loki, Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, Shell, or Perl.
