Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end telemetry, alerting, self-healing, and automation capabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and own, triage, investigate, and resolve service issues.
- Use telemetry-based analysis to debug, fix, and optimize code across network, hardware, and distributed service layers.
- Collaborate with customers, support representatives, product engineering, and product management on technical service improvements.
- Own availability, performance, and supportability targets for the service.
- Author functional and technical documentation and stay current with relevant technologies and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience writing tools, developing automation or scripts, programming, and enhancing software components in production services or products.
- At least 6 years of troubleshooting and debugging experience, including telemetry-based analysis and work across network, hardware, and distributed service layers.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting technologies and C++, C#, or equivalent programming languages.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Experience or understanding of distributed systems and networking is preferred.
