Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and evolve software applications for Earth Observation monitoring, reporting, alerting, visualization, and performance analysis.
  • Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance, including troubleshooting, bug fixing, testing, and improvements to existing applications.
  • Support deployment, release activities, configuration, monitoring, nominal operations, and incident or anomaly management.
  • Investigate software behavior and root causes, implement corrective actions, and prepare related reports and activity tracking.
  • Develop dashboards and web interfaces with attention to usability, graphical design, data visualization, and operational information presentation.
  • Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into operational software and use AI-assisted tools for coding, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, work instructions, anomaly reports, and performance reports.
  • Coordinate with operations, infrastructure, and other teams and participate in on-call or extended-hours support when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and evolving software applications in operational or service-oriented environments.
  • Experience supporting software operations, including deployment, incident and anomaly analysis, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and coordination with operations or infrastructure teams.
  • Proficiency with Linux, shell and Bash scripting, Python, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, and containerized environments.
  • Experience with databases including querying, data modeling, database design, and application data maintenance.
  • Familiarity with frontend and web technologies, dashboards, data visualization, graphical design, and user experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development practices and coding agents such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, maintenance, testing, debugging, version control, collaborative development, and ticketing workflows.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, operational procedures, work instructions, reports, or similar engineering documentation.
  • Knowledge or experience with cloud-based IT environments, large data-flow monitoring, observability, service performance analysis, and reporting systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with JIRA and GitHub is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Keycloak or other Identity and Access Management solutions is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of service operations, ITIL practices, incident/problem/change management, operational readiness, Agile methodologies, and continuous improvement is advantageous.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, correlate operational events, derive actionable insights, and troubleshoot complex systems.
  • English proficiency at level B2, written and spoken.
