Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software features throughout the development lifecycle.
- Own assigned features from implementation through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code according to development standards.
- Participate in code reviews and improve code quality.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and developers to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Contribute ideas to improve development processes, tooling, and engineering practices.
- Maintain current technical knowledge and pursue continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Java web application development.
- Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, jQuery or similar frontend frameworks, Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, and version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a development team.
- Java certifications, Struts Framework, MongoDB, Lucene, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience are nice-to-have qualifications.
