$262k - $354k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical direction across iOS, Android, GraphQL, Webview, and front-end platforms.
- Set performance, quality, security, and maintainability standards for customer-facing mobile experiences.
- Define native mobile and Webview architectural strategy and ensure interoperability between native and web environments.
- Drive significant cross-platform technology initiatives from design through execution.
- Design scalable, resilient, and adaptive systems across platforms.
- Own GraphQL schema design, performance, evolution, and client integration patterns.
- Partner with product management, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and align stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor senior and staff-level engineers and advise leadership on team structure and engineering practices.
- Provide technical perspective on industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering process improvements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- 7+ years of experience designing complex distributed systems, platforms, or business applications.
- Proven expertise in native iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI and Android development using Kotlin.
- Experience architecting and maintaining Webview-based hybrid experiences that bridge native and web platforms.
- Deep front-end web development expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React.
- Strong hands-on experience with GraphQL schema design, resolvers, and client-side integration.
- Track record of influencing technical strategy across teams and business units and driving results across globally distributed teams.
- Strong mentoring, communication, independent decision-making, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Cloud computing experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.

- Expected base pay range: Oakland $261,500 - $353,500.
