Responsibilities
- Lead or drive migration of legacy SAS data-preparation jobs to Python-based data engineering workflows.
- Analyze SAS scripts and workflows to identify logic, dependencies, and data-feed requirements.
- Translate and re-engineer SAS jobs into scalable, efficient Python data pipelines.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineers to validate and test converted workflows.
- Optimize Python workflows and ensure data quality and consistency.
- Integrate pipelines with Google Cloud Platform and support testing, validation, and production deployment.
- Document migration processes, coding standards, and pipeline configurations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Pandas, data frames, SQL on Google Cloud Platform, and Dataiku Data Science Studio.
- Strong knowledge of data transformation workflows, database systems, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and modern Python frameworks and libraries.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Completion of 15 years of full-time education.
