Responsibilities
- Build and own a reliable, scalable crawl platform providing unified data across CommerceIQ product lines.
- Design distributed systems, scalable services, workflow orchestration, monitoring, and developer experience solutions.
- Define technical strategy and collaborate with managers on team roadmaps and priorities.
- Lead high-impact projects involving ambiguous problem statements and scalable solution delivery.
- Own system architecture, reliability, observability, performance, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and lead engineers while fostering technical excellence and high-quality execution.
- Coordinate stakeholders and teams to align on technical decisions.
- Review designs, documents, and pull requests to maintain code and system quality.
- Develop comprehensive platform ownership and contribute hands-on coding and technical deep dives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading small to medium-sized teams.
- Expertise in scalable distributed systems and strong problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with observability, developer experience, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of AWS, Spark, databases, streaming, containers, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
- Experience with data-intensive applications and ETL/ELT is a plus.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, independently break down complex problems, and drive solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, coordinate stakeholders, and operate with a high degree of independence.
