Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and development of complex software systems aligned with business objectives and scalability requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and drive innovation through prototyping and exploration of new technologies.
- Translate business requirements into effective software architectures in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Optimize data performance, latency, and resource utilization for production-grade deployments.
- Evaluate alternative solutions and clearly articulate technical decisions.
- Apply data engineering, big data, cloud, streaming, database, and machine learning technologies to software architecture and development.
- Support reliable, maintainable, and high-performing software systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software architecture and development.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering and big data, including Spark and Iceberg.
- Mastery of design principles, architectural patterns, and coding standards.
- Strong proficiency in Databricks, data warehousing solutions, Python, and ML libraries.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Kafka, and Flink.
- Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL databases, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and graph databases.
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, experimentation, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is valued.
