Responsibilities
- Conduct application security assessments, code reviews, penetration testing, and security testing to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
- Identify, prioritize, track, and verify remediation of application security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Configure, deploy, optimize, and maintain application security tools such as SAST, DAST, and WAF solutions.
- Support application-related security incident detection, analysis, response, and root-cause investigation.
- Educate development teams and stakeholders through training, workshops, and security awareness activities.
- Document assessments, findings, remediation efforts, compliance status, and security metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve, optimize, and automate application security practices while monitoring emerging threats and trends.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a similar information security position.
- Software development background and fluency in relevant languages such as Java, C, C++, Perl, PHP, .NET, or Python.
- Experience with security test management, application security assessments, security assurance, requirements management, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and application security testing.
- Knowledge of frameworks and support libraries such as Spring, OSGi, and ASP.NET.
- Experience with security evaluation, functional testing, Agile development, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to educate and influence technical audiences on application security matters.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for articulating security risks, requirements, and recommendations.
