
Lead Engineer - Engineering Productivity

Responsibilities
- Execute the studio’s engineering productivity and workflow transformation strategy with the Technical Director.
- Develop and maintain engineering tools, automation, content pipelines, build systems, release systems, and developer workflows.
- Improve creative feedback loops and authoring workflows to accelerate content creation and iteration.
- Apply AI and automation to engineering, content creation, and operational workflows.
- Build dashboards and operational tooling that communicate product and production-pipeline health.
- Develop profiling, diagnostics, and optimization tools for performance, memory, and technical-budget analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, client, engine, server, DevOps, QA, design, art, production, central technology, and partner studio teams.
- Promote maintainable architecture, automation, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and measurable return on investment.
Requirements
- Significant professional software engineering experience, ideally in games or another technically demanding industry.
- Experience building engineering, production, or operational tooling such as dashboards, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, or developer workflows.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across a broad range of technologies.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, design, art, and production disciplines.
- Experience owning ambiguous technical problems and turning ideas into practical, adopted solutions.
- Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and programming languages quickly.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with C++, scripting languages, and web technologies.
- Preferred experience with live-service games, game-engine or proprietary-technology tools, content creation pipelines, build systems, release automation, profiling, diagnostics, or performance analysis.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives, or integrating agentic workflows into software engineering or content creation workflows.
